West Dulwich Spring Fair 14 May

We had another fantastic day at the West Dulwich Fair last Saturday. The sun shone all day and it was wonderful to see so many local residents and friends.

We were joined this week by the excellent Craft Beer Cab who contribute to the party atmosphere with their bottled and draft beer - set to be a firm favourite without doubt. While Sweets & Savouries tempted us all day with their array of amazing crepes until we finally succumbed - their goats cheese and avocado crepe was the best we have every tried! London Smokehouse was serving up the most succulent smoked salmon which was proving a prime favourite for West Dulwich Saturday lunch. Rimii was in full flow with her delicious Lebanese salads - how I was hoping they wouldn't sell out!

We were there too with our French marshmallows. Elderflower & Champagne was the firm favourite this week. It's curious to see which flavour sells out first. It's probably to do with the weather although we don't have any evidence for that. Our alternative S'mores went down a storm!

Next weekend ie 14 May is the biggie - the  West Dulwich Spring Fair. Lots of hot food stalls as well as your local marshmallows - we will have hundreds of marshmallows, free samples and lots of give-aways. Pop by and say hello and take part in our Prize Draw where you can win free marshmallows! What more could anyone want on a Saturday?

Don't forget to follow us on social media. We have lots of marshmallowy photos on Instagram as well as a weekly competition on Facebook.

The future is definitely marshmallow.

La Maison Guimauve marshmallows - gluten free

The demand for gluten-free products has never been greater. The numbers of people who are diagnosed with gluten intolerance or Coeliac Disease, increases annually. There are many of us however, who are not gluten intolerance but who prefer to follow a gluten-free diet as it just makes us feel a bit better.

We are pleased to say that our marshmallows are free of the gluten and all of the 14 allergens identified by the Foods Standards Agency. Our hot chocolate does contain milk products.

It is important to be able offer gluten-free confectionery to our customers - We are all becoming more aware of the ingredients in the food we eat - and quite rightly so. That is why we use the freshest and highest quality ingredients and avoid additives and preservatives in our marshmallows.

Enjoy!

La Maison Guimauve Hot Chocolate

Now that the wintry weather is well and truly here, it's time to indulge a little in those treats which help us through the cold spell. The logs are on the fire, we are huddled up in warm blankets and a deliciously warm mug of La Maison Guimauve hot chocolate brings an instant smile to our faces...with a marshmallow or two melting on top -  I love winter!

Here at La Maison Guimauve, we prepare our hot chocolate from the finest ingredients. No nasty additives or preservatives. Luxury and flavour that you expect from us.

Happy New Year!

Here's wishing everyone a happy new year. We hope all of our customers and friends enjoyed the marshmallows they ordered from us in the run-up to Christmas. To those of you who have not tried one of our French marshmallows yet, you are in for a treat! We will be arranging marshmallow tastings around London and further afield in the coming weeks, so stay tuned to find out more... You can see our regular updates on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook - keep in touch - we love to hear which flavours you enjoyed and any flavours you would like us to try out. Wishing you all a great start to the new year!

Duke of York Christmas Fair

It was lovely to see so many familiar faces at yesterday's Christmas Fair at the Duke of York Square, King's Road. Thank you for all of your wonderful comments about our marshmallows. We will be fulfilling orders over the next day or two and sending your fluffy treats via courier, post and sometimes in person too :)

For those of you wanting to order of our Vintage Hot Chocolate and Vanilla Marshmallow pack, there may still be some stock available at Franklin's Farmshop on Lordship Lane East Dulwich. Thanks to Livy for her beautiful design.

Hot Chocolate @ Cardinal Place

So lovely to see so many customers old and new at Cardinal Place today.

Our new Hot Chocolate is a great success and you keep coming back for more. Put 2 heaped teaspoons of the hot chocolate in a mug. Gently heat enough milk or almond milk or brown rice milk (per your preference) in a pan and add a little to the hot chocolate to form a smooth paste. Then top up with the rest of the milk and stir. Top with a vanilla marshmallow and pop into microwave for 20 seconds. Pure delight! The marshmallow melts like vanilla ice cream - yum!

Suitable for gluten free diets and low in histamine too!

The Aloysius Society Gala, 3 October 2015

La Maison Guimauve were invited to provide bags of our delicious Elderflower and Champagne marshmallows at the Aloysius Society Ball 2015 which took place at the V & A on Saturday. It was a wonderful event with over 150 guests. The Aloysius Society were supporting the Turquoise Mountain Foundation established by HRH Prince of Wales and the then President of Afghanistan to revive Afghanistan crafts and heritage. We hope that you enjoyed the marshmallows!

Women in Business, 1 October 2015

Taylor Wessing invited La Maison Guimauve to their 6th annual Women in Business event at their offices in Central London. It was a wonderful evening. We heard a motivational speech by Carmel McConnell, Founder of the charity Magic Breakfast which supplies nutritious breakfasts to over 460 UK schools. La Maison Guimauve was proud to support the charity at the event. As well as tasting lots of marshmallows, we also met such a lovely group of people.
